So every now and then, we here at Colossal may post film things. From important news tidbits, to kickass trailers, and hopefully in the future, consistent film reviews. Our focus is on music, but film is an important part of the cultural experience, so it can not be completely ignored. To start things off, and give you an idea of what kinds of films to expect, here is a trailer for the new movie, Melancholia, by Lars von Trier, who made such previous films as Antichrist and Dogville. Have to say, I'm absolutely in love with this trend of drama pieces mixing just a twinge of sci-fi in to the mix, such as The Tree of Life. This will be one to keep an eye on.
